If you're like most people, you've always wanted to change just one thing about the way you look. Maybe you think your nose is too big, or your hair is too curly, but if it's your teeth that you've always wanted to change, you've come to the right place.
Tooth Colored Fillings and Inlays
Replace the gold and silver of the past with natural looking materials.
In the 1970's, "white fillings" came into common use. These "tooth-colored fillings" were made of a plastic dental resin filled with microscopic filler particles and were called composites. When dental composites were first introduced, they could only be used in the front teeth, because they weren't strong enough to withstand the chewing pressure of the back teeth (in excess of 40,000 pounds per square inch).
The composites of today have been vastly improved over the ones developed nearly forty years ago. They are made of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium and are very strong, durable, and attractive. In 1999, the American Dental Association gave white fillings its seal of approval and now many insurance plans cover their use. Dr. Glasser is proud to offer tooth-colored fillings to his patients and encourages patients to take advantage of their natural appearance.
Tooth-colored fillings are bonded directly to the affected tooth to restore small areas of decay or to replace current fillings. They are placed in the same way as traditional metal fillings, but may take a little longer to perform, since the tooth must be kept dry and free of saliva. After the decay is removed, Dr. Glasser applies an adhesive to the tooth along with the white composite filling, which is then hardened into place with a special light.

ZOOM 2 Teeth Whitening or Bleaching
Zoom 2 is an improved version of the ZOOM! in-office tooth whitening system. Zoom 2 offers the same safe, effective and fast brightening in a single office visit, with the added benefit of even greater whitening power and less tooth sensitivity. Zoom 2 is fast and powerful, brightening teeth by up to eight shades in just 45 minutes with no trays or strips.
Zoom2 is done in Dr. Glasser’s office during a single visit. At your appointment, Dr. Glasser applies a gentle, hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel to your teeth. The gel is then exposed to a special high-intensity light. After the treatment, your teeth will be up to eight or ten shades whiter.
Dentist-supervised whitening is one of the safest and most conservative cosmetic dental treatments available. The most common side effect of ZOOM2 is increased tooth sensitivity to cold for 1-3 days after treatment. Dr. Glasser is highly experienced in performing the whitening procedure and providing patients with the results they desire. These results are faster and more successful than any type of home whitening system.

Porcelain Laminate Veneers
Porcelain laminate veneers are translucent, thin laminates made to improve the esthetics (shape, spacing, color) of natural teeth, to correct crowding, or to replace composite bonding. These structures require only a minimal amount of tooth reduction and are considered a safe form of restoration that is actually more conservative than a crown.

With porcelain laminate veneers, Dr. Glasser can restore spaces between the teeth, broken or chipped teeth, permanent stains and discolorations, crooked teeth and other imperfections that keep patients from feeling completely confident about their smile. Veneers can be treated the same way as regular teeth and do not require any special maintenance after placement.
Although porcelain is an extremely translucent material, it is also very strong. Porcelain veneers and crowns are permanent restorations, and they can be expected to last for many years. They offer high levels of strength, beauty and durability that no other type of restoration can provide. Also, there are no food restrictions - once they are cemented you can eat normally (apples, corn on the cob, etc.) - porcelain simply covers the imperfections in your own smile!
